Terms & Conditions

Last updated November 1, 2026

The terms governing ESAT 9-12 access for schools, authorized staff, students and families.

1. Your agreement with SATRDE, LLC

ESAT 9-12 is provided by SATRDE, LLC, a United States business ("we," "us" or "our"). You contract with SATRDE, LLC for access to our career-readiness service. By accessing or continuing to use the service, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Notice.

A person purchasing or administering a school subscription must be an adult with authority to bind the organization. Students use the service under their school’s authorization and applicable parent or guardian requirements. Individual accounts are not available to children under 13.

2. The service and your license

ESAT 9-12 provides interest and skills assessments, learning courses, career exploration, planning, school reporting and authorized workforce tools. During your authorized access period, we grant a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for educational and program purposes within your selected plan. Features and third-party career information may change. Assessments and certificates are planning tools, not guarantees of employment, admission, professional qualification, grant eligibility or official state or federal reporting compliance.

3. Accounts and school responsibilities

Provide accurate account and billing information, keep it current, protect credentials and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. Do not share accounts. Schools are responsible for authorizing users, obtaining any required permissions, determining appropriate use of student records, and supervising work-based learning and mentor activities. A readiness certificate or digital permission response does not replace required supervision, insurance, legal consent or safety checks.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use the service unlawfully or for fraud, spam, harassment, hate speech, exploitation or discrimination. Do not infringe intellectual property or privacy rights; impersonate others; upload malware; probe or interfere with security; scrape restricted records; circumvent access, usage or moderation controls; or attempt to access another school’s or student’s information without authorization. Do not reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the service except where applicable law permits.

5. Intellectual property and your content

SATRDE, LLC retains ownership of the service’s software, documentation, branding and other intellectual property, subject to third-party rights. You and your school retain rights in submitted content and education records. You grant us a limited license to host, process and display that content only to provide, secure and support the service under applicable agreements.

You must have the rights and permissions needed for uploaded text, images, logos, audio and other inputs. We do not claim ownership of your inputs or generated outputs merely because you use an AI feature; rights in outputs remain subject to applicable law and third-party rights, and outputs may not be unique. Report alleged infringement through our contact form, identifying the work, disputed material, your authority and contact details. We may remove or restrict material and suspend repeat infringers.

6. AI features and generated media

AI-assisted suggestions, content editing, narration and media may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable. Users are responsible for their prompts, having rights to input content, verifying outputs and deciding how to use them. Do not submit unnecessary identifying student information or sensitive records in prompts. Generated output is not legal, financial, medical or other regulated professional advice and requires appropriate human oversight.

Do not generate illegal content, deceptive deepfakes, hate speech, abusive or exploitative material, malware, or attempts to jailbreak models or defeat safeguards. We may refuse or filter outputs, moderate or remove content, restrict features, or suspend accounts for misuse. School staff must use the service’s review and approval processes where required before releasing learning content to students.

7. Prices, billing and renewals

The Campus plan is $5,000 USD per high school per year. The licensed school count, billing frequency, applicable taxes and total are shown at checkout or on the issued invoice or signed order. Card subscriptions renew annually unless canceled before the next renewal. Invoice and purchase-order arrangements follow the issued invoice and signed agreement; a request alone does not confirm payment or activate a license. Follow the payment instructions on your issued invoice.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Paddle-processed purchases are governed by Paddle’s Buyer Terms for payments, billing, taxes, cancellation and refund mechanics. Any separately agreed direct invoice or purchase-order transaction is governed by the signed order and applicable law. For card subscriptions, manage cancellation through Plan & billing or Paddle support. Cancellation stops future renewals; refund requests follow our Refund Policy. Statutory rights remain unaffected.

8. Student privacy and data agreements

Our Privacy Notice describes data handling. School education records are handled under the district’s instructions and applicable data agreement. A signed school data agreement controls where it gives stronger student privacy protections or addresses a specific conflict with these terms. Schools must authorize access and sharing; a subscription does not grant unrestricted access to student records.

9. Availability, suspension and termination

We use reasonable care to provide the service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, third-party outages and security events may affect access. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. Where practicable and safe, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. Ending access does not make student records public; export and deletion remain subject to the school’s data agreement, retention instructions and legal obligations.

10. Disclaimers and liability

Except as stated in a signed agreement or required by law, the service is provided as available without implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, SATRDE, LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or opportunities. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including fraud, willful misconduct or applicable statutory rights. A signed district agreement may provide additional remedies.

11. Changes and contact

We will update the date above when these terms change and notify account administrators of material changes affecting their subscriptions. Changes do not reduce mandatory legal rights or override a signed agreement without the required consent. For service questions, rights-holder complaints or contract requests, use the SATRDE, LLC contact form. Include a reply email and identify the request; do not include passwords or confidential student records.
